Nollywood Veteran Actor Pete Eneh Dies in Enugu

Nollywood has lost one of its veteran actors, Pete Eneh  to the cold hands of death. He died around 4 this evening at Parklane Hospital, Enugu where he had been receiving treatment for over four months for a leg infection. Pete died few days after he had one of his legs amputated  due to infection , at  Park Lane hospital in  Enugu. His health was said to have deteriorated after the amputation.

Death is a cap we must all wear someday no matter our status or looks. Pete Eneh RIP

The jet was flown out of the US from Morristown, New Jersey in September 2012 to be retrofitted and serviced before delivery last week to Mr. Oritsejafor. Records accessed by SR on the Internet indicated that the jet’s owners in New Jersey listed it for sale in July 2012. The data also showed that the jet had once been upgraded to give it more engine power. The jet’s interior is furnished with gold accents in the toilet and bathroom area.

Oritsejafor Gets private jet as Birthday Gift From His Church

Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor who is the President, Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, and founder of Word of Life Bible Church was given a private jet during the 40th anniversary thanksgiving service of his Warri-based Word of Life Bible Church, that coincided with his birthday held at the church premises. Oritsejafor’s jets, marked N431CB ,The Bombadier/Challenger 601 is an executive jet that seats up to 10 passengers and has a range of 3,900 nautical miles. The luxurious and spacious cabin of the jet is perfect to conduct meetings or for relaxation.

Other men of God who reportedly own private jets include Pastors David Oyedepo, of Winners Chapel, Enoch Adeboye, of the Redeemed Christian Church of God and Sam Adeyemi, of Daystar Christian Centre.

JAMB CONFIRMS CBT EXAMINATION FOR 2013 UTME!!

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) launched Computer Based Testing (CBT) for candidates sitting for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME).

 Professor Dibu Ojerinde disclosed this in Kaduna yesterday when he led his management team and staff of the board on an advocacy visit over the proposed Computer Based Test (CBT) to Kaduna State.

According to the JAMB registrar, who led the advocacy visit to Kaduna State Ministry of Education, National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), Kaduna Polytechnic and National Teachers Institute (NTI), the board will also ensure uninterrupted power supply during the examination.

He said although UTME candidates for 2013 will have options of Paper Pencil Test (PPT) and Dual Based Test (computer and paper), the board will begin full blown computer based testing by 2015. “From now on, with the use of Computer Based Testing (CBT), candidates will get their result within 30 minutes after the examination. It will also address cases of result black out and examination malpractice,” he said.

2013 NLNG Post Graduate Scheme Application

The post graduate scholarship program of Nigeria LNG Limited is an overseas programme aimed at supporting the emergence of indigenous experts especially, but not exclusively, within the oil and gas industry. The Scheme is part of NLNG’s Community Development programme which aims to contribute to long-term socio-economic development in its host communities and Nigeria at large. 70% of the Scholarship places will be awarded to students who hail from NLNG Host Communities and Rivers State. 30% of the Scholarship places will be awarded to students from other parts of Nigeria. The scheme will commence in September 2013 and will support 10 students with scholarships to pursue various studies in Engineering, Geosciences, Environmental Studies, Management Sciences, Information Technology, Law and Medicine at Masters Level with leading universities in the United Kingdom. Potential beneficiaries of the programme must possess a 2nd Class Upper degree in a relevant field of study and have completed the National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) programme. The Scholarship will cover full tuition fees, a monthly stipend towards living expenses and, one return ticket from Nigeria to the United Kingdom. British Council Nigeria is responsible for administering the scholarships and is the main point of contact for the scheme.

Melcom Shopping Complex Collapses In Ghana-Many Feared Dead

The six-storey building of Achimota branch of Melcom shopping centre has collapsed trapping many inside on Wednesday morning at 9:20am. The shopping Complex collapsed after an explosion, injuring workers, shoppers and pedestrians and cracking windscreens of nearby vehicles.

Meanwhile, unconfirmed reports say four(4) people have lost their lives. Rescue efforts are under way, with the Police, Fire Service and National Ambulance Service successfully pulling some people out of the rubble, but eye-witnesses say many others are trapped underneath the caved-in building.

Ghana's Captain Asamoah Gyang Loses Mum

Ghana's captain and Al-Ain striker' Asamoah Gyan has lost his mother,Madam Cecilia Love Amoako after she was involved in a ghastly accident on Tuesday. Eye Witness said she was driving into a pillar at the Teachers' Hall in Accra. She was Immediately rushed to Ridge hospital were she died. No official word has come from Asamoah and his family, but the remains of the deceased have been deposited at the Ridge Hospital morgue. Madam Cecilia Amoako is believed to be in her late fifties. Mr Obama prevailed despite lingering dissatisfaction with the economy and a well-funded challenge by Mr Romney.
